Overview of the Bluetech International
Clean Air Technology Forum

The Bluetech International Clean Air Technology Forum will unite policymakers, Chinese and international experts, local environmental departments, technology companies, environmental organizations, researchers and media together to witness cutting-edge developments of clean air technologies around the world.

In 2015, more than 300 attendees discussed the implications of the 13th Five Year Plan, market shifts, technological innovations and investment opportunities. Environmental department representatives from all 31 provinces and cities were invited, where specialized sessions on diesel engine pollution control, VOC control and indoor air pollution was held. Winners and finalists were showcased and given the opportunity to participate in match-making sessions.

2015 Follow-up Activities

Technology Exchange and On-site Visits in Changzhou

On December 14, Changzhou held the third Air Quality Management Training, organized by Changzhou Environmental Protection Bureau (EPB), Changzhou Institute of Environmental Science, and the Clean Air Alliance of China (CAAC). On December 15, the Bluetech delegation visited Changzhou Pharmaceutical Industry Park to learn their needs and technical difficulties for waste gas treatment, as well as discuss on future potential business opportunities. According to the post-event survey, some technology providers have already reached intentional agreements with some local companies.

Technology Exchange and On-site Visits in Shenzhen

On December 16 in Shenzhen, the showcase and matchmaking activities were focused on non-road mobile emission control technology, including DPF retrofit programs. Representatives from the Bluetech delegation also demonstrated their technologies and answered questions from Shenzhen’s local organizations that are planning to conduct DPF retrofit work for their existing equipment. During the following day, the delegation conducted an on-site investigation on DPF retrofitted road pavers and bulldozers to study their operation statuses.

Bluetech winners and finalists had ample opportunities to showcase their strengths at the Forum, such as formal presentations, on-stage industry commentary and custom match-making events.

Bluetech Introductory Meeting

On October 16, the CAAC hosted the 4th Clean Air Investor Salon, bringing in investors who are interested in clean air industry opportunities to showcase leading innovations, highlight market and policy changes and demonstrate CAAC’s tools to assess investment opportunities. More than 50 representatives from local environmental departments, investing institutions, Chinese and overseas media, innovative technology programs and other leading organizations attended the Salon.
