Dr. Schreifels is director of the emission measurement and verification group at USEPA and a visiting fellow at Resources for the Future – an environmental policy think tank – where he conducts research on environmental policy. In addition to managing emission measurement, reporting, and verification programs, his work includes designing and implementing pollution control policies. He has worked on US-China environmental cooperation since 2000 and served as a science fellow at the US Embassy in Beijing and US Consulates in Guangzhou and Shenyang. He has also served on expert panels of the China Council on International Cooperation for Environment and Development (CCICED).

Dr. Schreifels earned his PhD in environmental engineering from Tsinghua University, MEM in resource economics and policy from Duke University, and BS in finance from St. Cloud State University.
