北京大学环境科学与工程学院教授、博导，曾在广州、香港、美国学习和工作，包括中山大学、香港科技大学、美国罗德岛大学、美国威斯康星大学-麦迪逊分校、美国佐治亚理工学院。1996年赴美留学，2000年于美国罗德岛大学海洋研究生院获博士学位。2000-2001年间，为美国佐治亚理工学院博士后和威斯康星大学-麦迪逊分校访问博士后。之后，在佐治亚理工学院领导研究小组进行大气污染和颗粒物来源解析的相关研究。留美14年后，于2010年底回国到北京大学环境学院任教。郑玫教授目前的研究主要是在大气污染领域，研究大气细颗粒物的物化特性，特别是如何快速、准确判定大气细颗粒物来源，探讨其可能的健康效应。至今，已发表SCI论文近90篇，其中SCI论文70余篇，引用2000余次。
